"Brought a Mariko!"

"Hi Mariko!"

"Hey! What'cha doing?"

"Sorting through these scrolls - I'm trying to build a library of everything - it's slow going, though."

"Cool. Can I help."

Rian's quiet for a moment, then: "Sure. I think I'd like that. The others might have a different idea, though. Guys?"

"Anything we can do?"

"Put these in piles based on what they are - the technique scrolls should have obvious titles, I'll write down the kanji for you - different elemental techniques in different piles, taijutsu scrolls in another - I can sort them by style later - genjutsu in another, sealing maybe separate, if you can't figure out what something is put it over there - Mariko, you're good at reading, right, can you help sort out the extra pile? I'd also like to have fiction separate, and I don't know what else is common enough for its own piles..."

"Sure. Different types of nonfiction should probably be separated out too, like history books."

The twins comply with frightening amounts of tossing.

"That is not how you treat books!"

Well, force and angle are calculated almost unconsciously to avoid harming said books.

Still not acceptable behavior!

"Fine, fine, we'll do it boring."

Boring but blindingly fast.

Acceptable.

Mariko still finds things to criticize in which piles books end up in, but she's fine resorting them herself.

"She'd be such a weird vampire," Tabby whispers to Rian, not unfondly.

Amused nod. "She's like this a lot. I don't mind it, but a lot of people think she's bossy?"

"Mummy says a proper coven-leader needs to be 'authoritative'."

"Same thing with a clan leader or anyone leading, really. Kids don't like being told what to do, though, I don't think, my classmates don't like the teachers much either."

"Should we ask her?"

"'Bout what?"

"Joining the sneaky blood ninja club."

"We might get in trouble? And we don't wanna tell her if we can't."

"Why would we get into trouble?"

"The Hokage said we shouldn't without permission."
